Exhibition that visualizes construction activities <TOKYO PORT MUSEUM>

In Tokyo Bay, there is construction on port facilities, such as the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal and the container terminal outside of the central breakwater, as well as bridge constructoin including the Umi-no-mori Ohashi bridge, and maintenance and repair of the harbor road, on a daily basis. This includes work that is not easily visible but is essential for maintaining and supporting Tokyo Bay, such as dredging work in which they did down deep into the seabed and reclamation work for new sea-level disposal sites.

In light of these various construction operations, on this occasion, I would like to introduce you to a project that aims to visualize, through panels, models and video, dredging work, water depth surveys, new sea-level disposal site development, work to eliminate power poles on coastal roads, work to extend the service life of bridges and tunnels, and measures against storm surges.

Please fill out a questionnaire during the exhibition to receive a "ship card" (either "Dredger Kairyu" or "Surveyor ship Tankai").

*This present shall no longer be available once the cards run out.
